Transforming an exterior colour scheme can dramatically enhance curb appeal of the home but more importantly, it provides the clients with the desired refreshed, contemporary look that still resonates with the home’s character and style.

Today I had the pleasure of consulting with my clients in Eagle Court, Newport, North Brisbane, for the second time to create colours for their timber varnished exterior doors.  The varnished surfaces were exposed to the weather and required regular maintenance, so we chose to paint them with Dulux Regency White which complemented the warmth of the brick walls.

When I first consulted with my clients two years ago, we created an overall new colour palette for the home’s exterior.  We selected Colorbond Woodland Grey for the roof, gutters, fascias and garage door and added an accent of Colorbond Paperbark for the trims, gables

and rear courtyard pergola. The Woodland Grey teamed up perfectly with the charcoal accents of the bricks.

The original colour scheme of browns and yellow was dated and blended into the surroundings without distinction.

The overall result is now a stylish home that is a harmonious blend of classic and modern which the residents love to call home.
